FilmStruck<\/a>\u00a0and The Criterion Channel<\/a> are running His Girl Friday<\/em> <\/a>this month, in the fine restoration that Criterion released on Blu-ray<\/a>\u00a0last year. Accompanying this rerun is a bevy of bonus materials, including the restored Front Page<\/em> and\u00a0a video essay I worked on.<\/a>\u00a0There’s a larger thematic bundle on the streaming service as well: “Howard Hawks and the Art of Screwball Comedy,”<\/a> featuring three other films as well as an 11-minute extra on “The Hawksian Approach to Screwball Comedy” by Taylor Ramos and Tony Zhou.<\/p>\n
