Tony&#8217;s open letter\u00a0is at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmalert.net\/geoff-blog.html\" target=\"_blank\">Geoff Gardner&#8217;s estimable blog.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As far as I can tell, this turn of events has scarcely\u00a0been covered in the English-language film press. Mr. Lee \u00a0has been beleaguered for some time. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/busan-pushes-forward-controversial-ferry-735621\" target=\"_blank\">initial pressure on him<\/a> goes back to 2014, and <a href=\"http:\/\/variety.com\/2015\/film\/asia\/lee-yong-kwan-to-stay-as-busan-festival-head-after-truce-with-city-officials-1201416127\/\" target=\"_blank\">his response<\/a> came early the following year. A spring 2015 meeting of South Korean filmmakers defending him is reported <a href=\"http:\/\/www.screendaily.com\/news\/busan-film-festival-in-danger-of-being-ruined\/5084154.article\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The second announcement is that Peter Labuza, mastermind of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecinephiliacs.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">the Cinephiliacs<\/a>, has mounted two podcast interviews with us.
